Caty's Strawberry Pie

Writer's picture: lmariejanslmariejans

Today is such a beautiful spring day here in the midwestern states. I grew up in Minnesota and spent a lot of time with my great grandma Caty, who taught me so many things. She was a skilled seamstress and she loved to embroider as well. She was know all over the town she lived in for her hand made dish towels with special sayings embroidered on them. She also made beautiful afghans, as she loved to crochet and knit. She taught me so many of these skills that I will cherish along with memories of spending time sitting next to her learning to embroider.

During the upcoming spring months, I am sure many people will have gatherings to attend or host, or both! Such a fun and exciting season for graduations and weddings and so much more! Here is a recipe that uses the seasonal berry, strawberries, and is sure to be a hit with your guests, no matter the occasion!

*Caty's Strawberry Pie*

When the mixture is cooled, fold in 1 cup of whip cream and then add 1 cup of fresh, sliced strawberries. Pour the mixture over a premade graham cracker crust and refrigerate for approximately 2 hours or until set.

Serve and enjoy!!
